About
About the Pod
Welcome to Don’t Forget the Chickpeas, a Pretty Little Liars podcast by two longtime friends about the things we love and hate about the show, our attempts to queer everything about it, the best and worst outfits, the best and worst parents, our love for former PLL-reviewer Heather Hogan, and chickpea recipes!
This is a rewatch podcast – it’s our fourth time watching the show together, and we have watched all of the spin-offs at least once as well, so we will be spoiling things from across the PLL television universe, which is made up of Pretty Little Liars (2010-2017), Ravenswood (2013-2014), The Perfectionists (2019), and Original Sin (2022-2024).
We also love PLL dearly, but there are a lot of things we dislike about the show and are super critical of, including but not limited to the ableism and sanism, the anti-Blackness and other racism, the transmisogyny & transphobia, the support for U.S. imperialism and settler colonialism, the fatphobia, Ezra and every other abuser on the show, the rampant copaganda, and much more. If you are into any of those things – well, yikes, but also this is not the podcast for you!
If you have not watched any of the PLL shows, they contain all of these themes as well as murder, abduction, and sexual assault. We usually provide content notes on an episode only if we discuss something that could be triggering that did not happen on the shows. If you would like to request that we highlight a specific trigger in our content notes every time we discuss it, please email us!
About the Hosts
Cameron (she/her)
is a PhD student studying queerness and trans inclusion and exclusion in women’s rugby. She is a witchy scorpio who is kind of obsessed with the moon. She spends a lot of time talking, strolling, and feeling.

Deepa (no pronouns)
is a climate policy analyst by day, abolitionist and movement organizer by night, and queer fandom nerd and Long COVID-sufferer all of the time. Deepa’s writing and other projects can be found at deepasivarajan.com.

Our logo is by a friend who wishes to stay anonymous; our theme song is by Deepa’s cousin, Ashok R. Chandran; and our website is by Rainbow Forge!
